Our Trip to Hells Gate Airtram

Last Sunday, the 19th, we decided to take a trip to check out Hells Gate Airtram. As per usual it has been a pretty busy summer so we have not had much time for local family day trips so we were all pretty excited for this one.

I can't remember if I had ever been here before, other than driving by, so it was pretty cool to check out. Once you get over the river there are some pretty neat things to look at on the other side and quite a few pieces showing the history of the area. The kids had tonnes of fun crossing the bridge as it was super windy; if you do it make sure you eat your ice cream first. One thing that amazed me was the marker showing the highest level the river had ever been, I think it was in 1948, and it was high; I have been meaning to check out the impacts that had down stream.

After a good time at Hells Gate we took off home with the traditional stops along the way for a quick geocache hunt. And, as you will see in the pictures below, Cohen and Kyah can not walk on a trail without leaving their mark! Enjoy the photos...
