May Long Weekend - Day Two no Mum

Day two with no Mum went well. The kids once again were great and they have sure made the weekend easier by not being noddy. Today we woke up and went to Comox for the Highland games they had. We watched some of the events, the kids went in the bouncy castle and we just hung out and had lunch. It was pretty cool as it was actually the first Highland Games I had ever seen.

After that we took the scenic route back to Campbell River, grabbing 3 geocaches along the way, and then went to the pier for ice cream; for some odd reason Aro only ordered Vanilla Ice Cream, weird Spaniard!
After ice cream we went back to Grampa Steve's house and relaxed a bit and then Uncle Nick, Cohen, Aro, Easton and I went for a cruise through some back roads looking for a bear as Aro has never seen one. While driving around we found 3 more geocaches, almost got the truck stuck in mud and spent some time fishing at a lake. When it was time for dinner we headed back home for some good eats. When Auntie Kim and Uncle Nick left they called 2 minutes later to say there was a bear at the side of the freeway so Aro and I jumped in the car and cruised on down to check it out and I am happy so say that Aro has now seen a bear. It was a decent size black bear that was slightly obscured by the bushes by the time we got there, but you could still see it pretty good.

Pictures below, more fun to follow...

Cohen and Kyah got to try and pick up the stones that the Scots were throwing!
